Everyday cleaning sponges are soft, lightweight, and irregularly shaped—packaging them is much more challenging than expected. Recently, two clients from Italy flew 11 hours to visit Shouanlai Intelligent Equipment’s Dongguan factory. Their products are various types of everyday cleaning sponges, and currently, the packaging process still relies heavily on manual labor, resulting in low efficiency. They hope to find a truly suitable automated packaging line.

Customer needs are hidden in the details
Sponge products have a unique characteristic: they are susceptible to jamming, clogging, and scratches. Ordinary carton erecting and packing machines are prone to problems if not properly adapted. Our technical team didn’t rush into a demonstration; instead, they sat down and thoroughly inquired about the customer’s product specifications, materials, packaging methods, and production line pace. We repeatedly observed and handled the samples brought by the customer to ensure the subsequent demonstration was tailored to their specific needs.
On-site Demonstration: Letting the Equipment “Speak”
In the showroom, the carton erecting machine started first, automatically forming cartons; next came the packing stage, where the equipment adjusted the pushing speed and force according to the softness of the sponge; the boxes were sealed flat and securely; and the palletizer steadily stacked the finished products neatly.

The customer recorded the entire process on video. He paid particular attention to the packing stage, repeatedly asking, “Is it easy to adjust for sponges of different thicknesses?”

The technical staff demonstrated the changeover process on-site—a few steps, done in two minutes. The customer nodded in approval.

Communication Extends from Equipment to the Entire Production Line
After the demonstration, both parties sat down for an in-depth discussion. The client detailed their factory’s capacity, staffing, and existing site conditions. Based on this information, our team provided preliminary suggestions for the overall production line layout and promised to release a more detailed customized solution later. The client concluded with a very practical remark: “It’s important that you’re willing to take the time to understand our products.”

Replace manual labor with machines, making packaging easier.
Shouanlai firmly believes that good equipment isn’t just about selling it; it’s about making it easy and reliable for customers to use.
From Italy to Dongguan, the distance is far. But a warm welcome, a targeted demonstration, and a practical solution can bridge that gap. Shouanlai Intelligent Equipment focuses on post-packaging automation. We welcome more friends from home and abroad to visit Dongguan and bring your products for us to test on-site.
